E-Commerce
Builds & Automation
Shopify and WooCommerce builds, catalogue automation and custom plugins for small e-commerce brands. Less admin, fewer subscriptions, code you own.
Sound familiar?
- Someone spends hours a week copying product data between spreadsheets and the store.
- You are paying for five apps that each do one small thing, and they still do not talk to each other.
- Collections and metadata go stale because updating them is manual.
- The theme has been customised so heavily that nobody wants to touch it.
What I do about it
Shopify & WooCommerce builds
Themes, checkout customisation, custom plugins where the platform will not bend.
Catalogue automation
Inventory, collections and metadata handled by a pipeline instead of a person.
Integrations
Getting the store, the supplier feed and the back office to agree with each other.
Migration
Off a platform you have outgrown, without losing the URLs that already rank.
A job I actually did
Anonymised. Sector, size and region only, never a client name. The work and the numbers are real.
Who: An e-commerce group running several supplement and nicotine-pouch storefronts, UK, and separately a wholesale distributor.
Before: Catalogue work was manual. Product updates, collection organisation, metadata and blog publishing all took someone’s week, and the admin load grew with every new SKU.
- Autonomous catalogue and indexing pipelines handling inventory, collection creation and metadata.
- Custom WooCommerce plugins for checkout, inventory and invoices.
- Trend-aware Shopify API hooks for dynamic catalogue syncing.
- Automated site audits and metadata updates rather than a monthly manual pass.
After: Over 90 percent of the recurring admin labour on those storefronts is now automated. The published breakdown is on the outcomes page.
What went wrong: Automation is only worth it where the task is genuinely repetitive and the rules are stable. I have also built pipelines that were not worth their maintenance, and the honest advice for a store under a few hundred orders a month is usually to fix the process before automating it.
Questions
Shopify or WooCommerce?
Shopify if you want it to just run and are happy paying for that. WooCommerce if you want control and are prepared to own the maintenance. Most of the pain I get called about is not the platform, it is five apps bolted on to cover gaps.
Is automating my catalogue worth it?
Only if the task is genuinely repetitive and the rules are stable. Under a few hundred orders a month, fixing the process usually beats automating it. I will tell you if I think that is your situation.
Can you migrate my store without losing rankings?
Yes, and the redirects are the whole job. Preserving the URLs that already rank matters more than the new design does.
Do you do ongoing maintenance?
I build things that do not need much. Where something genuinely needs watching, I would rather set up an automated check that alerts you than sell you a retainer to look at a dashboard.
Who owns the code?
You do. Custom plugins and pipelines go in a repository you control.
Tell me what you need
No pitch deck, no discovery call to book another discovery call. Describe the job and I will tell you what it takes, or tell you that you do not need me.
