The Problem with Modern Software

Modern business software has become bloated, expensive, and unnecessarily complex. Tools like Salesforce, HubSpot, and even Odoo try to be everything to everyone, resulting in software that's overwhelming for the people who actually need to use it.

We've all been there: spending hours just trying to figure out how to add a simple contact to your CRM, or getting lost in endless menus and settings that you'll never use. This is backwards.

Our Philosophy

BareStack was built on a simple idea: software should get out of your way, not demand you become a software expert.

We focus only on the absolute essential features. If 90% of users don't need it, we don't build it. This keeps our tools fast, simple, and easy to understand.

2. Performance Matters

Our tools are lightweight and fast. No bloated JavaScript bundles, no slow load times. Your time is valuable.

3. You Own Your Data

All our tools are open-source and self-hostable. You can run BareStack on your own server, and we'll never hold your data hostage.

What We're Building

Right now, we're focused on three core tools:

• BareCRM: A CRM that isn't trying to be a platform
• Projects: Task management without the cognitive overhead
• Invoicing: Clean, predictable invoicing

Each tool does one thing well, and they work together seamlessly.

Built Differently

BareStack is built by one person using AI. No venture capital, no growth hacking, no corporate BS. Just honest work, building tools that we'd want to use ourselves.

We're transparent about our process, our limitations, and our goals. We don't pretend to be a big company, and we don't make promises we can't keep.

Free Forever (Really)

We're committed to keeping BareStack free for as long as we can sustain it. If server costs become unsustainable, we'll consider a "Pay-What-You-Want" donation model—but the self-hosted version will always be 100% open-source and free.

No ads. No VC pressure. No forced upgrades.
